Any new restaurant recommendations for Lake Tahoe?

Garwooods - check
Sunnyside - check
Soule Domain - check
Chambers Landing - check
BBQ on our deck - check

We'll be staying in Homewood.
Any feedback on these and any other places?

Wolfdale's in Tahoe City was recommended by a local
Front Stree Pizza?
West Shore Cafe?
Plumpjack?

I guess we'd consider driving to Truckee if the place is worth it.

Thanks for any and all suggestions!

I love West Shore cafe. Very good food.

Same with Plumpjacks Love it .

Near Camp Richardson is my all time favorite place though. Evans American Gourmet. The first time I went there (1996) I couldn't believe such an amazing place could exist in the mountains. NOw we go all the time. Fresh local food carefully prepared and served at tables in the front room of what looks like was once a cabin/cottage. No views though. Must have reservations.

Forgot to say: in the summer we stay in Homewood or Tahoma and still drive to eat at Evans. In the fall we stay in SLT so it's much easier. When we stay in Incline we don't make the drive. ;(

We stayed at the West Shore Inn last year and really liked the food. The setting is lovely.
A few doors south of the Inn is a market next to a boating store. The market has very good sandwiches for takeout.
You'll like Sunnyside. We ate in the bar and found it to be fun and casual but with good food.

Have a great time. I'm jealous. We loved our time in Tahoe.

Sometimes it all depends where you are when you're hungry. We enjoy Jake's on the Lake in Tahoe City if you can get an outside table. Food is good and reasonably priced.

Haven't been to West Shore Cafe in quite a few years but the location is the best!

There is a great bakery in Tahoe City on 89. I can't think of its name, but we like to get takeout there. They have wonderful pastries and chocolate meringue cookies.

Bless you Suzie.

Evans American Gourmet sounds great. Thanks for the confirmation of the West Shore Cafe too. A bit pricey, but it looks good. I had not heard of it. I haven't stayed in Homewood in a long time and I can't wait.

Any ideas for more moderately priced places too?

Thanks!

In Tahoma we have brunch at Norfolk Woods Inn. It's fabulous. We also have looked over thier dinner menu and it looks fantastic but we haven't made it there yet.

Great great sandwiches at Tahoma market. Enough to split and share.

Tahoe House is the name of the bakery in Tahoe City. (They have sandwiches and other take-out items, too).

We love West Shore Cafe. Yes, it is pricy, but we love the outdoor eating area and the views.

We went with some local friends to Caliente in King's Beach. Great deck dining and owned by the Garwoods people.

Also tried Big Water Grill at Incline last summer and liked it very much.

Thanks again for the suggestions. We will eat well...as usual. There is a popular burger place right on the lake in the King's Beach area. We ate there a couple of years. Big deck. Very popular. I can't remember the name of it.

I am afraid there won't be much of a report as we won't be doing much. It's going to be that kind of trip. R&R before the new school year chaos. Hope you make it up sometime soon.

Jason's Beachside Grille is the place you are thinking of in Kings Beach. We were just there last week. Live entertainment out on the back lawn, patio deck dining outdoors with views of the lake.

That's the place. Thank you. How was it? I liked it a few years back. Lively atmosphere and decent food.
