Michelle - This what happens when you send a city kid to college in Vt - lol! He did an internship on a farm in Costa Rica and then did an internship on an organic farm/cooperative in NM. He stayed because he had the opportunity to farm for himself with little investment. He is a sharecropper, farming other people's property for next to nothing while they get a tax break. This is the end of his first season and he's in three green markets, one coop, and sells to about ten very nice restaurants.

TDudette - thanks for remembering about dh. He's doing fine, but as he says, things will never be as they were. It's frustrating because all this was from botched minor surgery years ago and not from illness. And when you've had as much surgery as he now has had, there's always scar tissue and other stuff. Still, I am thankful every day that he's okay.

MomDDTravel - thanks. How are you doing? I thought of you the other day. My derm addressed 4 out of 5 things that I went to see her about (none cosmetic). When questioned by me, she said we did a lot today (less than 15 minutes in her office) and next time she'll address it. I was furious and am seriously thinking about finding another dr.

Your son is getting into a hot trend: organic/local growing for local markets and restaurants. Hope he does well.
