Anniversary Trip Thanksgiving Weekend?

My husband and I are trying to find a place to go over Thanksgiving weekend in or near the U.S. for our anniversary. We want a place that is pretty, that has a neat B&B or hotel, and some activites.

San Antonio or Santa Fe. If you want livelier, perhaps New Orleans?

New York City can't be beat over Thanksgiving weekend. The parade, decorated store windows, Broadway plays, etc.

Thanks for your replies. My husband and I actually went to Santa Fe for our 1 yr anniversary. We have also been to San Francisco and New York. We were thinking about going back to NY but wanted to try something different.

Santa Barbara, San Diego CA are beautiful and the weather isn't too cold in November

otherwise Seattle is pretty and has a lot to do.

Seattle would be a great destination, but expect rain! How about some place on the California central coast like Ojai, Santa Barbara, Cambria, Carmel? The weather could be iffy there as well, but the chances are much better than north of SF or in Seattle. Chicago at Thanksgiving is usually quite nice.

You should consider Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario Canada. It's twenty minutes from Niagara Falls, offers several B&B and plush Hotels, theatre, 42 wineries, top notch restaurants, nearby Casino ...plus you are less than an hour away from Toronto. The weather is cool and "fallish", but the rooms can be with fireplace...The village of Niagara-on-the-Lake is renowned for its quaintness, and this is a can't miss for plenty to do as well as romance.

I go to the San Luis Obispo/Cambria area every year at Thanksgiving. The weather is normally perfect. I wear shorts to Thanksgiving dinner and we often barbecue our turkey. I think Cambria would be a great place for your anniversary getaway.
