Has anyone stayed here? It looks really nice. I was just wondering if it is a good as it looks. DH and I are planning a trip to NO the week btwn Christmas and New Years. Any other hotel suggestions are welcome. We are looking for something nice under $100 per night before taxes for 5 nights that is located w/in walking distance to most major attractions.
TIA!

I've been going to NO for over 40 years and have never heard of this hotel! I checked tripadvisor.com and with a couple of exceptions all the reviews were absolutely awful. I think you should at least check out that website before booking.

Wow. Susan's right. I read tripadvisor's reviews and am pretty overwhelmed by the negative responses.
Maybe you should try a B&B or hotel that's in the tripadvisor.com Top 20 ro so. Tripadvisor is a good resource. It helped me choose hotels for my trip to Europe over the summer. In six weeks, we stayed in 10 hotels and all were recommended by TA users and all were great.
