All the Disney Help

I just want to say thanks to all the great people who posted an answer to my question last week. Is it better to visit Disney in August, we would also like to jump over to Universal Studios if possible. I think staying on the grounds might be a better option for us. But the rooms in the All-Stars seem a little to small. Any ideas on a hotel that is not to pricey but gives some space. Seems you can find reasonable suites for a better price off of Disney grounds. Any ideas? Thanks again.

For more Disney info than you can imagine, check out www.disneyinfo.com. Lots of message boards and info on trip planning. There are all kinds of hotel discounts (out of parks) available.
Have a great time!

I agree. www.disneyinfo.com is probably the best site on the internet for Disney trip planning.

I would rather have you stay on property. Have you tried the Coronado Springs rate? What about the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista(not the one on International Drive)? Do you have the time to get yourself to a book store and check out the most recent Unofficial Guide to Disney? Ratings on properties should help you. Isn't there a new Hampton Inn and Suites in Lake Buena Vista? There is a Country Inn and Suites in this area(near the Crossroads Shopping Centre) which is an area I would rather have you stay in than International Drive or Kissimmee. Let me know what you think, as I have the above guide and can help you out. Email me directly. Annemarie

Before you go, stop at a dollar store and pick up a supply of those lightweight rain ponchos. They'll cost you $5 a piece if you hit Disney parks on a rainy day, you can sometimes get them 2 for $1 at home. They take up next to no room, and believe it or not, we had one of our best visits to DisneyWorld on a day with intermittent showers. The lines were nonexistent, and the kids (and us) got to go on more rides than in two other trips combined. August will be hot, but probably no more than June, July or September. If you forget to bring bottled water, buy some and keep refilling it. The MGM park at Disney is very cool, tho we never have been to Universal. The Indiana Jones stunt show is a lot of fun.

If at all possible, avoid the summer heat and humidity. It’ll melt you and your enthusiam. We just did a week at the Fort Wilderness cabins. Good choice if you have active children and need a little space to move around. Kitchen saves you money and bedroom allows a little privacy and space. A car would be best for getting around. Did do Universal. It’s large and now has 2 parts. You’d almost need 2 days just for that.

We had stayed at Buena Vista Suites in Lake Buena Vista on our last visit. The rooms have two separate rooms-one with 2 queen beds and the other room had a double sofa sleeper. We had 5 people staying there and it worked out fine. They also include a great breakfast buffet daily with your room rate.
