Well, I got the tickets for last weekend and thought I would post back for anyone interested...it was great! The Tribune review faulted it for being to "retrospective" but if you want to just have a good time, it's well worth it. The music is fun, the set is really good (especially how they move the vehicles (including a bus and airstream)and it does not take itself too seriously. If you are into serious dramatic productions this isn't for your but everyone left the theater smiling and humming Elvis tunes so I figure that's a good sign!

I just saw All Shook Up in previews in NYC on 2/25/05 & it was fantastic! I wasn't really expecting much, but the Elvis music was great, the dancing was wonderful, it was very, very funny & the Cheyenne Jackson, the lead, is absolutely incredibly talented, not to mention he's gorgeous! We all came out of the theater smiling. If you want a really entertaining evening, I highly recommend it.

I saw All Shook Up in previews here in NYC and thoroughly enjoyed it. The music is great, and it's a "feel good" story with a very happy ending. You'll leave with a big smile on your face. (I liked it better than Mamma Mia, which I also thoroughly enjoyed.)
(As an aside, many straight men think all guys who are better lookin' than them are gay -- and Cheyenne Jackson really is gay, much to my girlfriend's dismay.)

The next "hot" ticket for Chicago will likely be the touring production of Wicked from April 29-June 12 at the Oriental, it's hitting Toronto first
