HI Velodurt,
Wow, thank you for sharing your website. I cant wait to show my husband and kids your pictures. I did a search here on the forum looking for info on Rainbow tours and I am so glad I read your post! We have 2 and a half days next summer and I am leaning torwards spending them in Homer doing a wildlife cruise, and a bear watch. I am only concerned about the long distances we need to cover. We will need to drive back to Anchorage direct from Homer. And we need to get to Homer from Whittier. Question, I see you did the Kenai Fjords tour....I am leaning on skipping that for the 2 in Homer. What do you think? Again, thanks for sharing your awe inspiring pictures!

I suggest you only consider a costly one way car rental from Avis for Whittier/Anchorage. You do not have time to waste backtracking to Anchorage to pick up a cheaper rental car. Since your priority is the bear watching tour, you need your two nights in Homer, leave Seward for your next and longer trip.

Hi cck000, Glad you enjoyed the trip report and photos...thanks for your kind comments. I can only say that we loved both tours we did from Homer...they were incredible!! You won't be disappointed if the bear and whales are the only tours you can fit into your schedule. Hope you have a great trip!
