I fly into BMI,get my luggage and go out the doors and look for sign that says"Amtrak shuttle" They leave every 20 min to 1/2 hr. Takes to Amtrak station where you can get "next" train into Union Station in D.C.
I have never had to wait more than 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour. One time it was during commuter hours and there was not a place to sit and luggage space was difficult. Other than that
I find it very convenient. can't remember cost exacly but not over 7-12 $$ Also Super Shuttle from and to D.C. area from $15 to $21.This picked me up at hotel inSilver Springs , made several other stops, then to BMI (This you have to arrange in advance at least 24 hrs.Good Luck...

Three ways of going from BWI to downtown. #1. Go to Amtrak's BWI train station by shuttle as suggested and get off at Baltimore's Penn Station. You can take either Amtrak or MARC train...the latter is cheaper, but only runs on weekdays. #2. The light rail goes right into downtown Baltimore from BWI; it's long but dirt cheap and runs 7 days/week ($1.35?). #3. If you don't feel like waiting, you could probably catch a taxi for about $25; others may know better the price.
Have a great time in Charm City. DAN

During the week the MARC train is cheap and efficient , www.mtamaryland.com for schedule. Might also look at www.quickaid.com for this and other "from airport" help.
