Twenty some years ago when I was an exchange student flying from JFK to Paris. My two sisters and I were in the bathroom and Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac was in there in her long fur coat and boots. (This was August, mind you.) Then she took out her make-up to fix her face (which it needed!) and she had this crummy old make-up -- not very glam!

Ok, well I don't remember ever encountering a celebrity at the airport, but 21 years ago I used to work in a department down the hall from the Today Show's green room. I got to see many celebrities. I saw Tom Hanks at the elevator (right after his big movie break, so young and cute), Ted Danson (he waved to us and said "hello ladies", Tommy Tune and Twiggy, Ed Hermann (now famous for Gilmore Girls), Paul Simon (we made small talk and I couldn't think of what to say to him!), Neil Young, various people from Saturday Night Live, the hosts of the Today Show at the time, Jane Pauley (very, very nice and pretty), Bryant Gumble, and my favorite Nightly News guy, Tom Brokaw. I was taking an aerobics class in one of the studios, and he caught me having a cigarette after my class (you could smoke in the building in those days!) He smiled at me and shook his finger at me for doing something healthy and unhealthy at the same time. I met George Segal many many years ago while he was campaigning for Allard Lowenstein. (also the guy from Man From U.N.C.L.E.) George Segal was so young and handsome at the time, and I told him I loved him in ...then I couldn't remember the name of the movie! He laughed and ran through a few until we got to the one I liked. I saw Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis leaving Doubleday...and my favorite of all celebrity encounters was meeting Christopher Reeves in the makeup room. We all swooned over him. He was so handsome. I was very saddened to hear about the passing of his wife, Dana Reeves, and my thoughts and prayers are with their son.

Vlade Divac in Sacramento flying to Serbia. Handed him his suitcase that he forgot to take with him from the check-in line. Felt foolish to ask for an autograph from someone my same age...plenty of kids were awe struck...kinda funny seeing it as an outsider who doesn't get too hyped up tho.

I was on a plane to Boston with Tommy Lee Jones once. And I flew from Vegas to L.A. on the same Southwest flight as Jamie Foxx a couple years ago. He was great & had a lot of personality-- talking to everyone and signing autographs when asked. Just recently we saw Hugh Jackman at LAX as we were waiting for a flight. That's all I can think of at the moment...

I never ask for photos or autographs. I live in L.A. and work in the film industry, so I see celebrities a lot & it's not such a novelty.

Last night I saw Minnie Driver at United baggage claim. Would not have recognized her but for the chauffer waiting with a sign with her first and last name on it.

Maybe the driver had Minnie on the sign because if he just had "Driver" people might think he was advertising his services.
