I have to agree with tmn.

Take any route that is usually mostly business people that travel often: Most of them have been through the same thing dozens of times, they know the drill, want to move as fast as possible, and do things quickly and efficiently. On the other hand, 'vacation' routes are quite different. People on them are just not as used to travelling, and they tend to take more time to do certain things, and (for some strange reason) they usually complain a lot more!

I have counted the time it takes to deplane with business people as oppossed to people on vacation, and the later is usually 50-75% more.

Why is that?

I agree with Britt...
It annoys me when people take forever to get seated on the plane and cram there baggage in the compartments holding up the on coming passengers. This is so rude and annoying. People, when boarding the plane lets try and move as fast as possible, it not only holds up passengers, but also holds up the flight. The sooner/faster we can get seated the sooner our flight can take off!!

I agree with Paul and Jim. Although Paul always checks his bags, Jim and the rest of us should have room for our carry-on luggage as long as we abide by the rules of the airline. Why should we have to check our bags because the bins are full of SMALL bags, computers and even coats that should be under the seat? That's just plain rude and inconsiderate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a Flight Attendant & I can tell you that the boarding/carry-on stowage process is the worst part of my job. Rather than make overhead bins larger, I feel they should be eliminated entirely.I once had someone attempt to bring a chainsaw full of gasoline onboard one of my flights (&I won't even begin to wonder how they made it through "security"). If it can't fit under the seat in front of you, it should not be brought on board. Further, all passengers share all bins. In other words, the bin over your seat does not belong to you. Here's another idea: hold your coat on your lap until all bags are stowed & then place your coat on top of the luggage, thus not filling the bins with coats in the first 3 minutes of boarding. Don't bring a ridiculously heavy bag on board & expect the Flight Attendant to throw out his/her back trying to help you stow it. If you can't lift it over your head, guess you better just check it. Next, if you place your huge roll-aboard suitcase in the bin & the bin door obviously will not shut, don't sit down & expect the Flight Attendant to work some miracle to make it fit. The bag will only end up being checked at the last minute, greatly increasing the chances that it will be lost. I could go on & on but I imagine no one is still reading. Carry-on bags should be abolished, except for one bag that fits under the seat in front of you. In the event of a crash, do you want all those thousands of pounds falling on your head? I didn't think so. But the good part is, there are no bins over the Flight Attendants' jumpseats, so at least we have one less thing to worry about while trying to save your lives.

People, please!

"There" is used to refer to a place, not people ("Their").

How hard can it be to remember -- "there" refers to a place, just as "here" does, which is "there" minus the "T".

Now don't forget!

I hate when airlines pile a blanket, pillow and earphones on the seat. Not only do I have to climb over an aisle seat, get my coat off, shove my carryon under the seat, but I have to pick up blanket, pillow and earphone in order to sit down. Can't the airlines pass these out once everyone is seated?
