Airlines+Prices
I am traveling from ORD (Chicago) to BOS (Boston) in June 2008. I am wondering why American Airlines is almost $100 cheaper than all the other airlines? Is there something wrong with the company or the air planes?

In addition to Loki's response, I will add that the reason United does not have the fare could be supply. They may have sold out of the inventory allocated to that fare.
If AA is 100.00 less, it won't last, so book it asap.

I don't know about the fares, but I swore off flying American, domestically, anyway, after a BOS/SFO trip. The seats were horridly uncomfortable. No padding on seat bottom - awful.
Depending on your plans, you may want to have a look at Southwest flights to Manchester, NH.

AA planes are among the oldest currently flying and definitely are the most uncomfortable. With ORD being the hub, they will offer cheap flights. Its not a long flight so if its a cheap ticket, grab it. If not, wait and the other airlines may drop some when the date gets closer. Just keep an eye on all the rates

book it asap? I don't know about that.
As I mentioned on the same thread in the Airlines forum the AA fare is currently $100 cheaper less than the others, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is a low fare. What's the fare?
AA is fine, nothing wrong.
That's 6 months out. Maybe the other airlines haven't posted their discount fares yet.

Be very leary of AA. They have been discounting a lot and then they cancel or consolidate flights. They changed my flight times so often and by so many hours, for my trip to Puerto Rico in Oct., that I finally demanded a refund and booked a United flight. They kept shuffling me to crappier flight times and then offering new, nearly identical flights to my original flight to other people.
Your non-refundable tix becomes refundable when they do this- don't let them tell you otherwise. I was lucky with the United flight.
