Airfare to Hawaii from midwest

Just getting a general idea, I checked for Thanksgiving week midwest to Kauia and so far found RT $990, that doesn't seem to bad to me (some were $1200). Just curious if that is about right or if it may go down? We have awhile to wait, but originally thought anything under $1000 would be good. Does it ever get down to, say $850? Or am I dreaming

Thanks! & Have a great weekend!

I have seen around $750 from Omaha to Kauai but your location is going to make a difference and flying on a holiday or close to it.

FYI - ended up with $1025 from Indianapolis - Lihue with just one stop PHX, and return from Hilo, HNL, PHX, IND.

I bought tickets for our annual Maui vacation for Feb. 2011 this past July. I believe they were right around $900. The last time I got tickets for around $850 was probably 3 yrs ago.

I'd say you got probably about the best price for booking this close to a holiday trip.

Aloha!

Denver to Kona $481 R/T all in, for October, AA!

Blew a chance for $279 RT in August (Den-SLC-KOA)because it only lasted 2 hours; but <500 is pretty good.

tickets can range from $500-$1000 to hawaii. you're going during the end of the fall which is usually the cheaper season to go.

the price may go down but it is likely to go up. to see predictions on your airfare check out farecast.com.
