Airboat tours near Ft. Lauderdale
I found 2 airboat tours offered near Fort Lauderdale- one is The Everglades Holiday Park and the other is Billie Swamp Safari in the Seminole Indian Reserve. Has anyone experienced either? Billie Swamp is further away and was wondering if it was worth the extra drive or not.

hi Marbie!
I've only been on an airboat ride in Everglades City, but my guess is that they're all pretty much the same (fun!). To help you decide, you may want to see if either of those locations offers any other activities in the area, like nature walks or anything. Have fun!

The Billie Swamp Safari is definitely worth the trip. I took that ride from Ft.Lauderdale last winter and it was great. The people at my hotel recommended it. They said it was the best one, so I took their word for it and I was glad I did. It was wonderful. I highly recommend it. Youll have a great time.

We took the Everglades Holiday Park tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our boys are still talking about the alligators. The place looks a little skeevy when you first arrive, but don't let that put you off. It just hasn't been Disneyfied.
