Our two AA flights across country were totally full two days before they announced they would start flying with all seats filled. Minuscule bottle of water given for 4.5 hour flight. No drink on second, 1h45 min flight.
we felt we had to fly to escape from AZ with surging cases of COVID19. People were wearing masks.
We have high status with AA but don’t know if we’ll fly them again.

We recently (early-mid June) flew PHL-DEN (Southwest) and LAS-PHL (American). We found:
- in PHL, people were more diligent about wearing masks than LAS.
- food was all grab and go as you boarded the plane.
- Standing in line for bathrooms while flying was discouraged.
- 95% of middle seats were empty. FA’s juggled a few people around as family units were separated to accommodate them.
- on the plane, masks were mostly on, but some came down for a little. I thought compliance was good.
- security lines were minimal or non-existent.
- People attempted to social distance. SWA boarded in groups of 10 people at a time.

I wouldn’t hesitate to fly again if needed. I thought people were respectful and considerate.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. It is helpful to get a real time sense of how things are. With the virus surging all over we made the decision to put off the trip by a month and see how things look. Stay well and safe all
