Affordable Car Rental in Anchorage AK

We are planning our first visit to Alaska in July 2005. Many of you have recommended Affordable Car Rental.
I haven't been able to find them online, when I go to their Website it says it's under construction. Tonight I tried to call them and it was answered by Budget Car Rental.
Does anyone know if Affordable is still in business? I would like to check out their rates but maybe they are owned by Budget now.
Thanks

Did you happen to ask Budget??? I have used them in the past since they had a "Denali Highway" car for me. But compare all the companies, there is Payless, Thrifty, Dollar, National, Alamo right in the airport.

Sandy, no offense but if you called the phone number for Affordable and Budget answered, why in the world didn't you just ask them if they had taken over Affordable?

Thanks for your suggestions, guess that will be our next try.
Patrick, I did ask; even though I dialed a local number, it was answered by a Budget call center; when I asked him about Affordable, he didn't know anything about it. So that's why I posted the question, I figure there may be a local person who could help me out.
Thanks
Thanks

Um....Budget bought Affordable last year. Bummer, too, since Affordable was the only car rental company which allowed drives on the Edgarton Hwy. back to McCarthy and Kennicott area in Wrangell St. Elias Nat'l Park. Oh well.

Zoom- the Edgerton Highway has been substantially upgraded, enough so that Budget and Enterprise now allow their cars on it.

Zoom, thanks for the info about Affordable. I have read good things about them on this board. People said they were reliable and more economical, so I thought they were worth a try.
