Advice on Camden, Boothbay, and Ogunquit please?
Taking a 6-night trip to Maine. We are first staying in Camden for three nights, and plan to go to Acadia NP as a day trip. We also plan to go to Monhegan Island from here as another day trip. Is this reasonable in the time frame?
Then Boothbay for one night, then Ogonquit for two. Recommendations for things to do are greatly welcomed!
We are following this with a week on the Cape. Question whether to go whale watching from Ogonquit area or wait until we are going to P-town?
Thanks!

Sounds like a nice trip! When in Ogunquit, make sure you go to Perkin's Cove. The Hurricane Restaurant there has great seafood and a great view of the ocean. Walk the Marginal Way there, it's a walkway on the coastline and it's got beautiful views.
As far as the whale watch, I'd definitely wait until P-town, many more whale sitings and warmer too!

I'd recommend an overnight for Acadia. From Camden, it's three hours round trip. Here's another recommendation for visiting Monhegan Island from Boothbay Harbor rather than Camden. The boat trip is shorter, so you'll have more time to spend on the island.
Ogunquit is definitely a wonderful destination.

Thanks for all the replies. For Monhegan, we were planning to drive from Camden to Port Clyde (20 mins?) and take the boat trip from there. It looks much closer on the map... is it not? The Port Clyde boat line claims 50 minutes one way. Boothbay's Balmy days claims 85 minutes one way.
For Acadia, we already made our reservations in Camden, so I'm afraid we will just have to do lots of driving one day. If there is no penalty, maybe I will try to switch one of the nights to the Bar Harbor area. So, anyone know of a B&B in Bar Harbor area that has no minimum stay and is less than $100/night?
Yes, I know, Cape Cod will be the first week of June, not MMW. I've been there quite a few times, just never to Maine.
