We have seen Blueman 3 times in Chicago with family and friends. We have sat in the first row (the poncho section) the last row and right in the middle. I, personally, would not select the poncho section again. Not necessarily because you get splattered but because the Blueman show is such a spectacle that when you are so close you kind of miss the "big picture" and can't see the band as well, etc...Go, enjoy, but I would suggest being farther away from the front.

We went about two years ago - and I'm ready to see them again. My son lives in NYC and my husband and treated him and his girlfriend - sat on second floor -and it was great. The theatre is small, so every seat is great - it's a lot of fun and very creative - you're son will love it. Hope that you go!

Just got back from Chicago. Saw BMG on
Friday night with 3 kids, ages 9, l2 and
l5. We had a blast and I don't know who
liked it better, husband and I or kids.
Would (and already have) recommend BMG
for any age. Would see it again and
would go to Chicago just to see it.
Sat in the balcony and thought the view
from there was great! It's very hard to describe, just a thoroughly entertaining show. Also recommend a
nearby restaurant (about 4 blocks)
called Leona's. They have directions
at the box office. My kids loved it.
Italian food. Good luck!

I have taken both of my teenage sons to see this show in NYC and it is a must see for crazy, fun entertainment. I think that the first row in the balcony is the very best seat. Have a great time and stop in for a hot chocolate at Starbuck's across the street. The last time that we went there was a wacky poetry reading that added to the NYC scene.
