Accommodation in Kailua Beach

Has anyone stayed at the Studio/1 Bedroom units at Kailua Beach, rented thru 10K vacation rentals? Are they in good condition, relatively clean and secure? Is there public transportation to/from Waikiki area? What amenities are in the local Kailua Beach area? Your advice is appreciated!

I think Kailua Beach is a great beach! Sorry, but I don't know anything about the vc rentals. The Bus goes all over Oahu and you can take it from Kailua to Waikiki but it probably takes twice as long as driving. What sort of amenities are you talking about? There are showers and bathrooms in a few spots.

Thank you for the reply. A grocery store in the area would be a must, how about cafes or restaurants in the area? Do you have information on a place called Pilipu Place? Thanks!

Hi Karen. There are some rentals in Kailua and neighboring Lanikai which look really nice at allerstorfer.com

Check them out and let us know what you think.

Let me just add the following disclaimer:

Because I have mentioned allerstorfer.com a lot here, I realize that people may think that I am advertising for them.

Please be aware that I have no affiliation with them. I have never stayed in any of their rentals either, I just came across the site and they look very appealing to me and like a good, economic and more quiet to Waikiki, so I like to mention the site.
