Zootsi - yes, you are right about the characters ... not sure if it was actually SS & the PM, but I do recall a baker, holding a tray, bent over offering something to the kid.
The last Stucky's I recall was a few years ago on US-13 on the DelMarVa peninsula, somewhere between Chincoteague & Accomac, east side of the highway. I vowed to never stop again as the operator had signs telling customers if they didn't like smoking then go somewhere else. I did.

I sure do remember all the times we'd stop and eat at HoJo's when I was a kid living on the east coast. We took road trips to NYC, FLA and Maine. Most of the time we just got ice cream, but once in awhile would eat there too. I'm trying to remember the waitress "uniform"...was it teal with a white "apron"?
