A nice lodge?

Has anyone been to a great lodge within one hundred miles of Boise? We're looking for fabulous scenery at an affordable price. Can you help?
Thanks!

Im not exactly sure what you mean by great lodge, but places that come to mind are Stanley (maybe a bit longer than 100 miles) McCall and Tamarack (which is in Donnelly) all are in areas with beautiful views. There is a Lodge place in Stanley, that I will find the link for, has magnificent views of the sawtooth mtns.

Thanks Rese! Great minds think alike. I have been in contact with the Idaho Rocky Mt. Ranch. That is exactly what I meant by a "great" lodge. It looks wonderful. Unfortunately it isn't open in April when we'll be there. I'll keep looking.

Are you from the Boise area? I'm wondering what kind of weather and temperatures to expexct in late April.

You could have snow in late April. Definately, you'll have cool nights and frost in the morning.

What about searching within the dude ranch association near Boise?

Some of the ranches might have nice log lodges, I'd guess. They'd be in fabulous scenery and are usually relatively affordable, depending on amenities, dining, etc.

kureiff, I lived in Boulder Co. many years ago. It sounds like Boise's climate is quite similar. Thanks for the info.

MaureenB, What a great suggestion. I'll chek it out.
