I have never been to CA before- I have 8 days- I am flying into LA and out of San Fran- what do you recommend? I would liek to stay somewhere relaxing in between

What time of year will this be? Will you be alone, and renting a car for the trip northward?

What kinds of things are you interested in? Beaches? rocky coastline? mountains? resorts? B&Bs? wineries? breweries? art galeries? cultural attractions? history? shopping? amusement parks? aquariums?

How much time do you intend to spend in LA and San Francisco? We need to know how much time you're allowing for the drive up the coast.

California is really like a whole country in itself. EVERYTHING from snow capped mountains, deserts, sunny beaches...it is ALL here. It is unlike any state I've ever visited before.
