Beena: You need to get out of north county! I'm in south county and there aren't enough hours in the day to do everything. The OP will be visiting someone in Laguna, hence the drive up there. I mean come on-- you can do worse than holiday in Laguna, can't you?

But, please, do NOT take advice from someone who 1) has not yet taken their trip, 2) thinks Newport Beach to Monterey for one night is reasonable, 3) plans on touring San Francisco and the Napa/Sonoma wine country in 3 days (I'll assume he means Napa/Sonoma but there are a LOT of other wine regions in CA) and 4) calls it sanfran . . . . .

janis, my thoughts precisely. the single & only poster who agrees with this idea or has a similar itinerary, has NOT YET taken their trip!!

suze, you're cracking me up! I personally haven't heard anyone around me say "Frisco" for San Francisco-- maybe they're doing it to pull your chain a bit...? Like anyone who says "the OC" around me.

nope scarier still i am certain it was sincere! she's an old childhood friend who i grew up with in Venice and MarVista, where she still lives.
