7 days in Yellowstone???
We've reserved 7 days in a Pioneer Cabin at Lake Lodge in late June and are wondering if that's too long in one location since Yellowstone is so big. Should we try to move halfway through our time and if so, to where? Also, I would love suggestions on what to do each day we're in the park.

We were in Yellowstone last summer. I would definately suggest staying somewhere else for half the time. You will get to see more that way without having to worry about too much driving. Twenty miles one way may not seem like a lot, but it becomes 40 when you have to get back.

Visit the beautiful Lamar Valley early morning or evening. Prime area for wildlife, bears, wolves, bison can be seen.

Yellowstone roads are shaped like a figure "8". I'm assuming that Lake Lodge is near the lake. If that's the case, I would suggest Mammoth for the second part of the stay. You can spend your first few days, exploring the lower part of the "8" and the second part the upper part of the "8". Also go to www.nps.gov Look up Yellowstone. It's the National Park Service website and they have tons of information.
