50th Birthday Dinner at Universal Orlando ??

Wife turning 50 in Mid April will be at Universal in Orlando. Is there a restaurant someone can recommend either at the Islands of Adventure or nearby that would be a good fit for such an occasion ? Will also have two teenagers with us. Any suggestions appreciated. Must be nice but not overly expensive.

We LOVE Mythos in Islands of Adventure. For LOADS of info on Universal/IOA, go to www.disboards.com and scroll down to the Universal message boards. Go to this site for menus for the restaurants

City Walk, between IOA and Universal has several themed restaurants to choose from (including Emeril's).
Depending upon your wife's tastes, we had some excellent meals at City Walk. Hubby had best steak ever at NBA City; there's also a Hard Rock Cafe & a Nascar Cafe. May not be romantic or upscale, but loads of fun and great food! My family enjoyed all.

Hi again Don,
I forgot to mention Margaritaville's.
This place has good food and lots of atmosphere. Great drinks, too!
We sat upstairs & had a good view of the volcano erupting. You'll also need reservations if you choose to dine here. I made reservations for this place, and when we arrived the line was out the door. We just walked right in and were seated immediately! Tricia

Trattoria de Porto at the Portofino Bay Hotel.
You can sit inside a great resturant or outside with a beautiful lake front view, the food is spectacular and moderately priced save time to walk around this hotel it's the best one on property. Also look for the Boccee ball field and play a family game.
