walking from the ferry landing to the Del takes more than 30 minutes..maybe if you are a speed walker.
Its a good 45 minutes to an hour each way.
It's a nice walk and flat.
Gaslamp Plaza who knows where that is and Capri by the Sea is in Pacific Beach which is 25 minutes away.
Sofia Hotel gets panned for their small rooms and their sketchy surroundings..bus depot is the main problem.
I have not stayed there but why when I can get the same $$ room rate at the Luxury Starwood US Grant Hotel.
Stay at the Grand Hyatt Manchester or the Omni.

Of course experiences vary as do opinions. When I did the walk it took me a little less than thirty minutes.
I stayed at the Sofia twice. On both occasions I got very good rates and I liked the area. I walked everywhere. The rooms are compact, but well equipped.
I stayed at the USGrant years ago and it is a lovely hotel, but it was a good deal more expensive than the rates I paid at the Sofia.

The Wild Animal Park and Zoo are more similar than Sea World. So I would recommend visiting Sea World and one of the other two. If you want to save on driving, go to the Zoo and Sea World. The Wild Animal Park is technically not in the city of San Diego and much further away from the other two attractions. But the Wild Animal Park is not like a typical zoo, so the drive can be worthwhile if you've never been to a place where the animals live in a wide open setting that's like their natural habitat. My husband doesn't like zoos because he feels bad seeing the animals all caged up. However, he quite enjoyed the Wild Animal Park because it's so spacious.
