4 days in NY

I live in Portugal and my only time in NY was 20 years ago (I was 18); coming August I will visit NY with my wife and we want to spend a terrific time; does anyone have good suggestions for 4 days? I would specially like to listen to good music in the evening and see some good shows.

Thanks,

Francisco

Free musical events most weekday evenings in the financial district. Indicate the dates you will be in the city and I tell you what is happening those days

Many helpful suggestions are available on previous posts--try 'NYC' as a keyword to search
(or you could just search for all of RQF's posts--he seems to post the same information on all of them...)

I believe that the Mostly Mozart Festival will still being going on at Lincoln Center. You should be able to get tickets to some of the performances when you arrive.

Give us more information about your musical preferences and many suggestions will be forthcoming. NY has so much to offer in music but it will help to knowe what interests you most.

2 excellent sites for you to get started would be: Citysearch.com (see New York City) and Timeout.com (again see New York City). Since August brings a lot of tourists to our fair city, keep in mind that if there is anything you feel very strongly about seeing/attending, you will need to purchase tickets as far in advance as possible. With all that's available in NYC I'm sure I'm sure that whatever you come up with your 4 days will be enjoyable and well spent.
