The Tropicana is newly remodeled and should be a good choice - right now they have 4 nights for $109.00! The two times I have taken the kids to Las Vegas were in July when the weather was about 25 - 30 degrees Celsius. The heat was never an issue for us as most activities are inside and air conditioned. It was great weather to enjoy the time by the pool. There were also no lines for any of the attractions and short waits for the restaurants - maybe 10 minutes at most.

Janisj,
The Yosemite at the Falls is indeed fully booked already. Between Yosemite View Lodge and Cedar Lodge, what is the best choice? In the View Lodge, I can choose between river view or mountain view. Which one is the best view? Thanks.

Underhill, the Asilomar Conference Grounds are fully booked. What do you think is the best alternative? Thanks.

Stay at Yosemite View Lodge. Do not stay at Cedar Lodge. Keep looking, every day, for openings at Yosemite at the Falls. Something may open up.

I agree -- definitely book at Yosemite View Lodge and then keep trying for Yosemite Lodge.

Most folks can eventually get into Yosemite Lodge because people book so far ahead and their plans can change. There are frequent cancellations.

Well - Mountain view is a view of . . . the mountains. And the river view is . . (I know, I'm being a smart a$$ ).

But the mountain view is just basically the surrounding hillsides (you are going to see a LOT of mountain sides). I'd guess the river views would be the premium rooms

Janish, I will be leaving to Yosemite on Saturday 26 July now, so that be better in terms of traffic. Also, I managed to book a room in Yosemite at the Falls.

Yay! You got a room at the Falls! Traveling on Saturday will be much easier getting out of the city.
