My husband is not into shared baths at all. However, they are not bad at OF Inn. We have stayed there twice, and I have never been in there at the same time as anyone else. They feel a little like being back in college. The rooms do have sinks. There is a newer part of the Inn that has private baths.

Don't skip the Tetons.

Yellowstone is an attraction park and Tetons is a scenery park.

YNP has geysers, waterfalls and wildlife mostly early and late.

Tetons also have wildlife early and late but spectacular scenery at every turn.

I can definitely see going back there is I can get my daughter's family available.

ok, we have moved, we are now three nights at the LAKE LODGE WESTERN CABIN (2 queen beds).

She said they have been recently (could be 8 years?) remodeled.

QUESTION.

Is this ok?? I just don't think we are the type to want to move every day, and spend time checking in and out and packing and unpacking DAILY!

I released one night Lake Hotel, and one night OF Snow Lodge and one TBD night...for three nights solid at one place.

?? Should I request a particular part of the cabin area??

?? Is there a more central area to be?? (we are interested in touching on all of it, but not obsessed with any one thing...and would rather NOT be in the hub bub of crowds...all the time!

We like the idea of parking right outside our room. Am I wrong, but is this possibly more calm and serene and less crowded than the OF area?

?? Is there a better choice for me to shoot for? As I have gotten all this on cancellations...

THANKS!!!!

dibgy, yes, I have been trying for that, to no avail, but I will keep at it. I think that would be my first choice.

myer, We are staying two nights at the Jackson Lake Lodge Cabins...so, we won't miss it!! I do agree, and I think it will be more relaxing than YS. But I don't want to miss either.

We stayed at the Lake cabins about 10 years ago. When we pulled up to the cabin, my family thought I was joking. Sounds like they have been remodeled since then, but they are very small. I like the Lake Hotel much better.

The Lake area is quieter than the OF area, but all areas are quiet in the morning and evening.

I stayed in cabins at OF and Canyons last year and loved them. Much bigger than a hotel room. We really liked it. I totally get the not unpacking/packing thing. And Lake is much, much more serene than OF and even Canyon. The cabin areas were very quiet though-again, I thought it was much better than any of the lodges--we had a 6 and 8 yo and it was great for them to be able to get outside and get their wiggles out while I packed or unpacked etc.

digby, thanks for the info, yes, I can picture that...kids: "you are kidding, I am NOT staying there!"
I continue to check for three days in a row at another place, and when I do, I might jump...someone, please cancel three days at OF area in NICE accomodations!! Please!!

Stanton, OF cabins would be great, as you can see that area when the crowds are lower and not have to drive far to get home...I'll keep looking. Yes, the unpacking is more than I can take!! Thanks for the other side of the cabin issue!

I keep calling, and things do open up, and we are flexible...just don't like to move more than we have to! thanks all for the great input!
