2 Weeks in Alaska- Help Needed

I know that we have a late start, but are planning a trip in July. I have the first week planned, but am fuzzy with the last portion. Can someone help me with our itinerary, please? We want to insert a glacier visit, and bear viewing at some point. Thank you so much for your ideas.

July 5-7Juneau-
July 8- Take ferry to Petersburg
July 11 All day ferry to Sitka
July 13th Fly Sitka to Anchorage

This is where I am not sure of the timing. We want to go to Seward and possibly Homer
July 14th - 18th?
Fly home July 19th

Thanks again, for any ideas you ,may have.

Mendenhall Glacier, just outside of Juneau, is as good as any you'll see. With some hiking and/or kayaking, you'll get views like this

If that's not good enough, take a peek at Kenai Fjords NP, near Seward

Or check these places

Did you want to see one flowing into the sea, or did you want to walk up to one?

You may see bears near Juneau or Anchorage. Or maybe not. Or maybe near Seward, Homer, Denali, Kenai, or any just about any spot in Alaska. Or maybe not. There's no guarantee anywhere, although Denali will increase your odds tremendously.

Please be "bear aware" during any sighting of these magnificent, but unpredictable, wild animals.

Your best bet, and bargain option for bears is Denali Park, I would head there, July 14 for 2 nights, taking the shuttle bus to Eielson. What time is your departing flight on the 19th?

If late then I would head down to Seward for an overnight and take in all those available activites. A car rental would make the best use of time, and my only recommendation.

It requires a bit of effort to get to Brooks Falls but seeing the bears there is amazing. I've been twice in July and both were day trips. Amazing.

We decided to go to Denali from the 13th-15th. I am not sure how long the drive would be from Denali to Seward. Any ideas of where a good midway point would be? We could stay in Seward on the 16th and Homer on the 17th, to drive back to Anchorage for our 10:00 flight on the 19th. Ideas?

A good midway point between Denali and Seward would be Girdwood, about 45 minutes south of Anchorage. There are several things of interest to see there including the tram ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska and/or dinner at the AAA 4-Diamond rated restaurant Seven Glaciers Restaurant. Both are at the Alyeska Resort.
