2 inquiries: Luau & Peal Harbor Costs

1. Is there a decent luau for 1 adult and 2 children that doesn't costs so much, and worth having a good time at? Any recommendations? 2. Is it better to buy tickets to Pearl Harbor in California, or in Hawaii, or when I make my airline reservations. Is there a least expensive way? The ticket prices seem very high. What should it cost?

The movie boat launch to the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor is free. Tickets are handed on on first come/first serve basis. SOmetimes there may be a wait.

The Battleship Missouri and the Bowfin sub (also located at Pearl Harbor) have nominal entrance fees and tickets can be easily bought there.

we are also heading to pearl harbour, the brochures I have seen say that strollers are not allowed on the launch, can anyone tell me if I can take my son and his wheelchair on the launch? Also is it better to buy the tickets in Australia before we leave or buy them on the day?

I don't think you can buy them ahead of time since they are free at the location. My guess would be that wheelchairs have to be allowed since so many veterans visit. The best luau is Paradise Cove. I thought it was $30 - $60 per ticket. Do you have an entertainment book? Or you can get coupons at the airport. Those timeshare people will give you deals if you sit through their sales shows. If you need a free show try the Kodak Hula Show or other shows in Waikiki spots.

Look into the PCC luau also. I think it would be a better choice with your children. Luau only tickets are cheaper than a full package that includes daytime admission to the villages and night show, but the full package will give you a better value and will cost about the same as other luaus.
