1st time to Moab

We am going to Moab, Utah on Friday for the weekend. We will be camping. Any suggestions on what to see, do, etc. would be appreciated.

If you drive up the road north from Moab, there is this fun place called Arches. Look for an arch made out of sandstone. It is big enough to walk under. Amazing how it was made.

If you like outdoors activity, you'll have a feast. DEFINITELY visit both Arches and Canyonlands Nat Park. Take a hike in Arches. A boat ride through Canyonlands, or a jeep tour, or a combo of both. Or rent a jeep to drive through the roads of Canyonlands yourself (NOT recommended for the squeamish or after a rain). Or rent mountain bikes for a day.

You could make a week out of Moab and still want more.

You'll have to visit Arches N.P. It an amazing place with incredible landscape.
Do the scenic drive through the park, and stop for the shorter hikes. There is a longer hike to Delicate Arch which is an incredible view point. Moab is heaven for mountain biking as well, and river rafting. There are plenty to see and do in this area, but I would recommend that you go to Dead Horse Point as well. It's spectacular!

Thank you all for the information. We are leaving in about 6 hours for our drive from Colorado to Utah. If anyone has any suggestions for quiet campgrounds in the Moab area, that would be great. Thanks again.
