100 things to do before I die!
Good day all
Its a Sunny Sunday and I have decided to make a
"100 things to do before I die list!"
Yes could be classed as morbed, but I wish to experence the most out of my short life on this planet - Got up to 52 and I am now looking for more ideas....
What sort of things would you have on your list?
Yes this is a travel question, so far I would like to visit Machu Pichu, ride on the Blue train, Fly over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter, Canada Rockies train, and give blood to name a few..
thanks in advanced this might even get you thinking..

Even tho I've done it a few times before, I'd settle for biking around the Napa/Sonoma Valleys!
Haven't been able to bike all year and I have to try out the "new knee" soon!
Ahhhh...the little things we take for granted sometimes.
Mahalo,
Kal

Here's a few of my most enjoyed "things" to add to your list:
Climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Ride one of those double decker buses in London.
See Michelangelo's "David" in Florence.
Take a gondola ride down the Grand Canal in Venice.
Scuba dive with the underwater world in the Caribbean.

Several years ago my husband and I saw the program 101 Things to do Before You Die on the Travel Channel (or Discovery - I know they're part of the same corporate family). Anyway, we decided that we'd each take a week or so and write our own lists. No thoughts given to the priority of each item we chose, meaning just because I put something at number 1 on my list didn't mean I wanted to do that first. I also tried to avoid saying things like "go to Italy"; I tried to choose an event to attend or a specific thing to do in Italy, that way the list wasn't repetitive 1. "go to here", 2. "go to here" 3 "go to there" on down the line. It was just before Christmas, so we decided we'd spend Christmas Eve with a nice bottle of wine and some fancy chocolate in front of the fire, reading our lists to each other one "thing to do" at a time. It was fun! We talked about why we'd want to go/do whatever, what inspired us to pick the destinations or activities we each chose, how likely they were to occur, etc. I also made the executive decision that if we each put the same destination/activity in the same spot on our list, that we had to make plans to do that immediately. (Or at least quickly; unfortunately, that has yet to happen.) Now every year on New Year's Eve or Christmas, we sit down with our lists and cross off all that we were fortunate enough to have done during the year, and add the same number of new things to do.
We didn't limit the list of things to do to travel, although it is mostly travel related. Our lists include attending events like Mardi Gras in NOLA and Oktoberfest in Germany, watching specific events at the Olympics; learning to do things, like to speak a foreign language or how to knit, mix a good cocktail; doing certain activities like ride a horse, go fishin', sing karaoke, be on a game show.
It was a lot of fun to do this and we're always trying our darnedest to cross things off the ol' list. Enjoy crossing things off of YOUR lists!
In case you're wondering, a few more destination-related items on the list are:
Tour Graceland (even though we're not Elvis fans)
Niagara Falls
Stonehenge
Cuba
South Africa
Angkor Wat
Visit everywhere!

I think it's Bora Bora that I'm thinking of...somewhere in the South Pacific they show these little huts out over the water (and I mean, crystal clear blue, beautiful...oh, my) and every time I see a picture of this one location, they show these same individual huts...looks UNBELIEVABLE...yup, sometime in the next 40-50 years...it WILL happen.

Hey, puddin, we've got some friends who did that on Moorea (I'm pretty sure it was Moorea) and they had a small-ish window in the floor of their hut that looked out over the water, like sleeping in a glass-bottom boat. The've got really cool pictures of them swimming with HUGE sting rays! Thanks for the reminder - that's going on my list!
