10 year anniversary

My wife and I are in our early 30's and going to Miami beach and Key Largo. We need some help as this is our first visit. We like to eat well, dance to some good house music (no techno, more acid jazz, vocals) with a laid back crowd (no hip hop or collegege hang outs, been there done that.We will be there for 4 nights, want to see SOBE the first two nights and relax the next 2. Can any one suggest...
1)Good restaurants-Casual and a place to celebrate our anniversary
2)Good clubs
3)Places to see
4)Has anyone stayed at the Marriot in Key Largo? And what to do down there?

Thanks for any help.

I have not stayed at the Marriott Key Largo, but it looks nice and is in a very nice setting. If you get the chance, also venture down to Key West.
I,personally, love Miami Beach. Key Biscayne is also a very lovely area and is very close to Miami.

Why don't you just stay the four nights in South Beach before heading to Key Largo? Just becuase you will still be in South Beach doesn't mean you can't also relax there.

Those are good ideas, I will look into that.
Also, I do I post this on the Florida thread rather than just the US thread?

Thanks

You can definitely relax in South Beach -- just skip the clubs, grab a margarita at News cafe or a beer at the Irish pub on Ocean Avenue, and people-watch. During the day, the beach in that area is gorgeous and huge, and the water is warm and calm. It's easy to get away with doing very little there.

Post-wise, you may want to re-post under Florida (it'll still show up under the US section as well) and use a slightly more specific title.

Have fun!

There are no separate hard-coded state web pages on this Forum (like that other, less-active travel website that also begins with "F").

When you created the original post, you probably selected "Florida" as your focus state; that is a search key that allows you to filter the entire US board to Florida-only threads. So this post will come up if you use the Search function and simply select "Florida" as a screen item.

For your future posts, you will find a lot more responses-- and often faster ones-- if you specify your travel destination in the TITLE. For example, your post could have been titled "South Beach and Key Largo for 10th Anniversary". There are lots of southern Florida experts on this board, so you'll get lots of help.

We had dinner at the China Grill just off of Ocean... food was good (share plates) music kicks in after 10 and that night there were plenty of 30's including some minor celebs(MTV types)

How about Ft. Lauderdale over instead of the Keys? Anything to do there?
