& days visit to Yellowstone National Parks & Grand Tetons.
Hello I need some suggestion on how many days we should visit YSNP & GTNP??? We are family of 3 with a teenager son looking to stay 2-3 days at YSNP and 2 day in GTNP and two days driving back to Las Vegas. I'm looking for some affordable places for lodgings with all basic amenities and easy access to the parks and reasonable place to eat. Any input and advice is helpful as we are running out of time finding lodgings. Our target days Is July 30 until Aug 6, 2013 Thank you!

You didn't write what you consider reasonable for lodging.
There's no comparison between being inpark and out of park. Yellowstone is a very big park and driving at night is slow due to the possibility of animals on the road.
However, lodging books up a year in advance so your only hope for inpark would be to call several times a day looking for cancellations.

@Myer "reasonable lodgings" as in over price rates $200 and up and sometimes w/o bathrooms if you are staying in some cabins. As we have looked at the lodging rates inside parks or outside parks some of the rates are seriously high. we are looking for accommodations that have rates around $100-150.00 a day with easy access to the parks and places to eat.
We had started to call some places for inpark lodgings 3 days ago asking for any cancellation and hoping to get lucky, but so far it's not looking good. but will keep trying...haven't loss hope yet!comes to worse then we probably have to try staying outside the parks. although it's not highly recommended because of the driving distance and also could crate more delay for us going to the park when animals are on the roads. they say you pay for location and convenience when you stay inside the parks.
