What to do if you don't want to travel solo?

I have a trip planned for Ireland from the 3rd through the 12th of June. While traveling alone sounds fun I would prefer not to. Does anyone know of any sites, messageboards, etc where you can pair up with a traveling buddy as opposed to tour groups? It would be great to have girlfriends to go out with while I'm in Dublin.
Thanks in advance!

Twizzered, I don't know where you can hook up with someone to go on the trip with at this late date. But I have a suggestion. Check out www.virtualtourist.com If you do a search on Dublin you will find a long list of members who live there. Find out who the most active are on VT who look interesting to you and start emailing them (members have their own email box). I bet you'll find a kindred spirit to spend time with.

If you need help when you get over there, my member name is callavetta.

Thorn Tree (www.lonelyplanet.com) is a BB similar in format to this one. They have a branch for seeking traveling companions.

Rick Steve's Graffiti Wall lets you post your itinerary and invite other solo travellers to meet up with you if they happen to be going to your destinations. Good Luck.

www.travelchums.com is a good site, but might not work at this late date. You can just register (allows you to read information and have others contact you) or pay a fee to be a member (you can contact others).
