3. Jungle or a lot of vegitation
4. Limited industrialism
5. Ability to buy streetfood

1,000's of places come to mind - all over the world!!!!

Do you have a particular part of the world you are interested in seeing?

When are you planning to travel?

How long a trip?

What type of budget do you have?

How long are you willing to travel to reach your destination?

Wow, really I tried pretty hard but couldnt find a good match. Im open to any part of the world but from my experience the locals in the east are not as active as the locals in the west.

Im planing on going asap. I have an online based job so distance and time are no concerns and my budget is fine for most places.

Final destination will, of course, depend on your definition of "Active/Sporty Locals" but here are a few locales where we've encountered everything on your wish list:

Peru

Costa Rica

New Caledonia

Samoa

American Samoa

Thailand

Seychelles

Fiji

Numerous Islands in the Caribbean

Costa Rica seems good, Im not sure about the rest.

To be a bit more specific about the "active locals". I was thinking of something like the LA/Miami/Rio culture where people do all posibile activities on be beach, but without the skyscrapers and over-industrialization.

Like I said, I've seen locals doing all sorts of activities on the beach in the places I mentioned. The thing is, if you are looking for "lots of people" then you need to visit a more populated destination and that means industrialization and all its accoutrements.

I have no idea what "active/sporty locals" means. There are physically active people everywhere. One of the reasons you see tons of people in Rio, LA and Miami doing "all possible activities" on the beach is because of the density of population in those enormous cities--the very thing you are trying to avoid. Go to an underpopulated place and, duh, there will be fewer people around doing anything, anywhere.

Belize
Oaxacan coast of Mexico

Thanks for all the feedback so far!
Makes sense that the bigger the population the more active the people is, but I also think it has some to do with culture and to some degree maybe even religion.

What do you think would be the best this time a year? Ive narrowed it down to Costa Rica, Belize, Brazil, Hawaii.

"Best" for what??

Are you just looking for lots of people doing activities on the beach?

All of the locations you've listed are interesting places to visit this or just about any time of the year but they are 4 very different places.

I'm sorry, but all those places will have people doing sporty things on the beach, warm water, access to rain forests (aka jungles) and lush vegetation, places where you can buy street food and areas with limited industrialization.

Quite honestly one destination is not necessarily better than the other they are just different. Which is "best" depends on TOUR perception.

What exactly are you looking for and how do you see yourself spending your time?

Maybe I missed it but when is this trip? Right now... late April?

I'd pick Hawaii from those 4 you mentioned, but just personal preference, nothing wrong with any of them.
