Last time I had a long flight, I downloaded the final four episodes of House of Cards onto my iPad, so I had hours of entertainment as needed. My iPad battery was fully charged, and I was surprised that watching these videos didn't use much battery.
Also, I bring a pair of headphones, not just earbuds, to better block the airplane noise.
I wish I could sleep on planes, but usually I can't.

Actually, nowadays four hours flight is not considered as a long flight. Of course, the long and short duration depends upon the individual experience. Enjoying a short meal in flight will pass your time. If you are traveling in the daytime and sitting near to a window seat, enjoy the different nature outside. If you are traveling at night time, enjoy a short story and take a nap you won't come to know how you passed four hours....Enjoy your journey.
