vrbo/airbnb refunds
For those of you dealing with VRBO and trying to cancel and get a refund:
I just got off a chat line with a CS rep. I wanted to know what I hadn't received a refund for a cancellation I made on Mar 16, when VRBO said it would be issued in "5-7 business days." The rep said refunds are being delayed because of massive cancellations due to CV-19. Might take two more weeks.
Note: Cancellation on airbnb made at the same time resulted in quick refunds.

My initial refunds from Air B&B came quickly, but 2 of the 3 properties charged 50% of the rental fee, and Air B&B kept their fees.
According to the announcement on their home page, All fees and rental expenses are supposed to be returned, as long as within the prescribed window.
It's been two weeks, I can't imagine how busy they are, so I have some patience. If not, I do have insurance, but would rather not have to use it.
