I agree that sometimes travel planning takes longer than expected. Information is often scattered on different websites. For me, the first challenging step is to choose where to go, as the world is so big and so beautiful. I usually have fixed dates for my vacation, so I have to figure out where to go in a specific time. I saw some websites like rove.me or Lonely Planet book "Where to go When", but sometimes information is too generic. Once I choose a place to visit, it takes a while to plan all the itinerary, especially places to visit...so now I leave it to the last moment, sometimes even deciding where to go once I've landed in a country. Would be nice to save some places of interest and share it with my travelmates so that we could see in the app/website our common choices and go there together. Offline use is a great feature because I don't buy a simcard in every country I go to, sometimes it's too expensive or requires to sign a contract with a provider. And getting free wifi in countries like Germany could be an issue

I've been using TripIt for quite some time to keep track of my itinerary. I don't like how it looks online, but on my phone app it's much better.
I like that I can forward confirmation emails and they are automatically put into the itinerary. Cuts down on typing all that stuff in. I just use the free version. I'm not planning trips for a business group, just for myself.
Never heard of TripCase but I'm going to take a look.
I don't actually like apps that try to steer me to "travel ideas". The airlines, car rental, and hotel sites try to do that now and I think it's irritating. I do my own research for where I want to go, and what I want to do. I just need one convenient place to store all the info.
