SDG1, you can take the Cau Cau boat, leaving from Puerto Pañuelo to Isla Victoria and Parque Arrayanes. I suggest the VIP seating. You can go to the port or downtown in the morning and purchase tickets. Suerte

We took a boat trip from our hotel (there was a tour agent located in the lobby), but only to Arranayes Park, it was only about a 1/2 hour boat ride away. It was a very enjoyable trip. This park is also attached to VLA, so you could walk to it also, I don't remember how far a walk it is. There's also a public boat in VLA, so you could walk one way and take the boat one way.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, soulskier and owlwoman for your reply.
Please help me to decide how to plan 1.5 days in Bariloche (I know it's too short, so I want to see the best out of what's available!)
We arrive at 10:20 AM on November 1 and I consider getting a remis and spend 1/2 day on our own. What can we do in 1/2 day- Small Circuit? or Arranayes Park?
Next day is free. What is the best we can do on this full day?
Choices: 7 lakes route; Circuto Grande; Circuto Chico (if we take Victoria Island on the first day).
Please advise. Thanks.

I would do a boat ride for the first 1/2 day, the next dedicate to the 7 lakes route, so you can take your time and not worry about it getting dark. Try and fit a ski lift ride up to Cerro Cathedral for the views and time it so you're near the Llao Llao for lunch. I think that would work best for you. It's a beautiful area, one of my favorite in AR.

Great, thanks a lot for advise. Sounds like a good plan.
The last question- what's the best way to do Seven Lakes or Grand Circuit drive - rent a car? or buy a tour? or get a remis that will drive us around all day ?

We did it on our own with a rental car. The drive between VLA and San Martin de los Andes is not paved, but makes for a great adventure! If you're staying in Bariloche, you can take a paved road back from there.

Rather than spend the half day in Bariloche on a boat, I would drive the Circuito Chico, have tea or a meal at Llao Llao overlooking their magnificent "backyard" (make a reservation or at least say you have one, so they let you through the gate) and take the chairlift up Cerro Campanario for the absolutely most amazing view!!

Thanks to all for information.

What I am confused about is : Does Grand Circuit drive include Circuito Chico? or are they different routes and we can take Circuito Chico on day 1 (afternoon) or Grand Circuit on the second day- full day?
Thanks again.

Circuito Chico is a loop just around Bariloche. The Grand Circuit is all the way up the Lakes.

I'm not sure, we were in a room facing the street on the left side of the hotel across from the nightclub (the noise from the club was only Sat. night). Maybe if you had an interior room on the other side it would be ok....all depends on how lite a sleeper you are if the noise is going to effect you.

Thanks -- that's helpful. We had barking dogs in Tilcara, ARG and it was awful.
