Seeking advice and contacts in Santiago for educational visi

Hello fellow travelers,

I am a career high school educator with a passion for the Spanish language and the history of "just plain folks" in Latin America, particularly in the area of human rights.

I plan on spending just over a week in Santiago at the end of February. I am fully fluent in Spanish and would appreciate any suggestions about people to contact in Santiago who know lots about the human rights history of Chile and could provide advice on places to visit and fellow educators with the same interests in Santiago to meet and learn from.

Also, IŽd appreciate any suggestions on lodging for one person, close to museums and cultural attractions that feels truly "chileno" near authentic food and music venues at prices a teacher can afford.

Thanks for any ideas based on your experience and knowledge.
