Rio Negro from Manaus

We are planning to be on a cruise in late 2021 which in part goes up the Amazon as far as Manaus. I'm not sure what there is to see in Manaus, and the cruise co. does have some excursions, example night river trip to find caymans. The cruise arrives in Manaus in the morning, spends the night there, and departs back downriver late in the next afternoon. Is there any such thing as an overnight up the Rio Negro during that time in port? Or is this a stupid idea?
This is the first time on the Amazon, and probably the last due to our situation. Thanks for any ideas.

Just curious as to whether you went on this trip and, if so, how did things go?

Just revisited here and found a post. No, we did not take this. the cruise was cancelled due to covid. We have not rebooked any Amazon cruise. And probably won't.
