Thanks, mlgb, for the feedback on malabia. Our first choice hotel was booked. And my hotels in Atacama and Torres del Paine are $$$$$$$$. So at least Malabia won't break the bank. And i got an ensuite room.

Mlgb - Scotiabank was still free, at least for my card. BCP and the others all seemed to have the same 14 soles fee.
I will try HSBC in Argentina as I have an account with them - one can only hope!
