Opera in Buenos Aires
We have a question about opera at Teatro Colon. On the day we arrive Norma is playing. We’re not sure how exhausted we’ll be at the end of that day, but we’d like to keep the opera possibility open. Right now we see there are some seats available. Do you think there’s much likelihood of getting tickets late on the afternoon of the performance? On our previous visit we went to see Don Quixote there, but we bought the tickets in advance. Teatro Colon is such a magnificent space to see an opera, we’d be sad to miss out this time.

FYI: I wanted to report back that we had success in getting same day tickets to "Norma" at Teatro Colon on Dec 5. Even though we were exhausted from our flight, we went to the ticketing desk the afternoon we arrived. The only tickets left were standing room only ones (price $5-10 ), and we took them. We stood, it wasn't that tedious, and there were some sporadic benches in the walking space behind us .Well worth it to hear the famous, beautiful aria in the first half. Beautiful opera space, acoustics incredible!
