You might want to contact the travel agency inside the Tambo del Inca about the train tickets. They may not be sold out, for some reason they are never listed. There should be a contact link on the hotel website.

Btw that hotel has a hotel shuttle from the airpotlrt although it charges about 3x the going rate.

Thanks, mlgb. I did send an email to the agency at the hotel. Haven't heard back yet. And someone else (maybe that was you) also mentioned the high cost of the shuttle. I think I will have a guide pick us up at airport and do the SV guided tour before we get to the hotel.

Hi Larry, Your Penguin comment was funny!!!!! I've been to Montevideo as my company has an office there....LOVED it. They also have some great wineries and restaurants.....Have a great time!!!!!
