suoma - I don't know if this helps you but:
We went with Galasam and booked The Millennium (16 passenger boat). When we got to the Galapagos some representative of another boat the "Santa Cruz" met us and told us that the Millennium was not in working order and so our agency had booked us on the Santa Cruz (100 person boat) instead. Was initially very disappointed. But there were only about 45 passengers on the boat and it was much bigger, with lots of decks to walk on and great guides. So, it turned out OK from that standpoint.
However, we had originally booked a suite and were not given this on the Santa Cruz. When we got back to the US we contacted Galasam twice to complain and ask what they could do for compensation and they have not responded to our inquiries.
Thus, I would recommend not going with Galasam.

Suoma,
Last year I used Columbus travel to book my trip to Ecuador including Galapagos Cruise, rain forest lodge, and cloud forest. They were very helpful in booking, I did my research and chose the ship I wanted and they booked everything for me plus internal flights and. And transfers. There was no pressure to steer me to something else. I recommend Elena at Columbus travel, shewas extremely helpful.
