First time visitor to BA
Hi posters,
Would appreciate your suggestions on how to narrow the opportunities of BA to fit a five day (including weekend and a Monday holiday) first time visit. Certainly, I have made my list but I could be missing something obvious.
Thanks in advance for your time/energy.

Here is a link to my trip report from our visit to Buenos Aires. Gives all the details of what we did, pictures, etc.

Thank you to the Ambassador, who never fails to help the tourist, and to jgg for an insightful and informative trip report. I especially enjoyed how jgg separated the trip report into sections. It made it easier to take notes!
Of course, it will be difficult to decide what to do, where to dine, etc., with our limited time in Buenos Aires but armed with this information, hopefully, I can make good choices for this first visit to the wonderful BA. Again, a heartfelt gracias.

My favourites included:
La Boca for the graffiti and tango
San Telmo on a Sunday for the markets and street theatre
Redoleta cemetery
Tigre by train and a boat around the delta
Puerto Madero for a different BA
A trip on the old Subte line ( I forget which number it is but a guide book will tell you)
A trip across the river to Colnia is also worth considering but with 5 days to play with you probably don't have enough time.
We also enjoyed just wandering around the barrios, particularly Palermo Soho. Have fun it is a wonderful city.
It is a bit old now but more info an photos on my blog http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blo...ai/1/tpod.html

Thanks for your reply, crellston. I enjoyed your BA I and BA II trip reports. Your "Around the World" trip sounded wonderful.
Now, I am starting to think about what clothes to take! We'll be in BA near the 22 Nov...Springtime.
