Extension to Galapagos trip

Extension to Galapagos trip
We are planning a trip to Galapagos in February for about 1 week. Would like to visit another South America area. The most popular is Peru. My question is if to go to Peru or to Ecuador?

February is not a great month to go to the Peruvian Andes.I'd save it for a separate trip. THere is a lot to see beside Machu PIcchu.
I am not sure about the rest of Ecudor in Feb. It may also be rainy then.
How about more time in the Galapagos..It isn't cheap to get there, so maximize your time.
You could tack on the other islands, or spend time land=based stays.
