Ecuador, La Nina weather pattern
Ecuador is currently under the influence of the ‘La Nina’ climate phenomenon. Last Friday there was a climate forum held in Babahoyo, Ecuador. Below are some of the forum’s conclusions and forecasts for the next several weeks throughout Ecuador. The forum believes La Nina pattern in the pacific is weak, which would allow low temperatures, in several provinces of the country, to recover gradually, and, moreover, that the weather will be irregular with the presence of sunny days, but also rains. While the forum concluded the current La Nina pattern is weak be prepared for unpredicatable and intense weather changes.
Some predictions for the next several weeks are at the following link:

Thank you for the link. I was just looking into this today after a second snow storm in SC in roughly two weeks. I'm heading to the Galapagos in 3 weeks and was wondering what impact La Nina had on the islands. El Nino is bad for the marine life, good for land critters while La Nina has the opposite effect.

La Nina has flooded Oz monsoonally right now but it usually
promotes good Humbolt Current flow to Galapagos usually which
brings needed nutrients to wildlife and cooler less rainy
foggy weahter lots better for wildlife sighting and mating.
So a mixed bag really depending on where you are...
