This is hard to answer, Baron7, since we don't know whether you are a young backpacker looking for a friendly hostel, or a high level tourist used to 5 star hotels, or somewhere in between these two extremes.

There are 3 top five-star hotels in BA, in or near the best location: The Alvear Palace Hotel http://tinyurl.com/y9j2u2j which is locally owned, the Hyatt and the Four Seasons.

Have a great time in our town.

I've stayed at the 725 Hotel which is centrally located, has beautifully appointed rooms on an upper floor, provides a superb breakfast with a variety of selections and an abundance; it is in a decent location for walking and taking taxis and the subte and buses.

...was there for five days with my group before checking out and into my apartment in Recoleta and extending my stay for two more weeks. You can't go wrong with this facility. I think it's located in the Microcentre neighborhood, but I could be mistaken.

...stayed at the Howard Johnson DaVinci but abhorred the breakfast offerings. The hotel itself was all right: quiet, clean, and not overpowering.

We enjoyed our stay at the Howard Johnson Boutique Recoleta in October 2009.
